The Dunedin Thunder Women’s team is a fierce competitor in the New Zealand Women’s Ice Hockey League (NZWIHL).
Founded in 2020 after the Southern Storm split into Dunedin Thunder Women’s and Wakatipu Wild, we have quickly established ourselves as a strong force in New Zealand ice hockey. Driven by a passion for the sport and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
With a relentless drive to succeed and a deep love for the game, Dunedin Thunder Women’s Ice Hockey is more than just a team – it’s a movement, shaping the future of women’s ice hockey in New Zealand.
