Women's League (DWIHL)
The DIHA also organizes a dedicated Women’s only Ice Hockey League affectionately known as the DWIHL (Dunedin Women’s Ice Hockey League) which is also the home of the Huskies.
This league is all about fun and friendship, and generally runs from March until October. It is a non-checking league open to players 13 years of age and over. Players of all abilities are welcome so grab your skates and join us on ice!
The DWIHL run ‘give it a go’ sessions at the beginning of each season, so you can experience the thrill of hockey for free. To find out when the next ‘give it a go’ session is, get in touch.
Whether you’re a season skater or just lacing up for the first time, the DWIHL offers women an exciting opportunity to improve skills, make new friends and enjoy the exhilarating sport of ice hockey.
Huskies are known for their team spirit and camaraderie, so come join the pack for a supportive and welcoming environment!

- Equipment and skates can be provided if required
All players in DWIHL must be registered DIHA members and members of Ice Hockey New Zealand.
We also run friendly drop-in games and extra training sessions throughout the season and over summer for club members.
